Northwestern USC u140.5 -110
Iowa +7.5
NW/USC: This was a hard one to pick. It came down to two selections, Iowa +7.5 and this under. I’m going to go with the under, but I like both picks. These teams have played to the over combined 9 of their last 10 games. NW always plays stifling defense at home and I like them to keep this pace slow to try and pull one out at home.
Iowa +7.5
Alright, I will breakdown my strategy for this pick. If you look at my last picks, this spot is the perfect scenario for how I bet home underdogs. You look at the board and find home underdogs playing conference games. The sweet spot is 5-7.5 spreads. The next thing you look at is both teams L5, how has the favorite done coming in? How has underdog? If the favorite is streaking, and the underdog is slipping and lost a few in a row, It’s an absolute hammer. Lastly, I look at the public betting percentages. If the favorite has more money on them in the books, it’s a mortal lock for the underdog. I call these “parlay catchers”. People will put -250 to -350 to juice up some odds. (Example: how many Purdue/BYU parlays you think are out there today?)
